Christmas stationery sets | Free printables
One of my fondest memories from childhood Christmases was watching my letters to Santa disappear up the chimney each year. To this day Iâm not 100% certain how he managed to read the letters after theyâd burst into flames, but come Christmas morning Iâd find many of the goodies Iâd put on my list all wrapped up under the Christmas tree. I was a very lucky girl!
When I moved to Hong Kong, I wondered how peopleâs letters found their way to the North Pole if there was no chimney to send them upâŠunsurprisingly there arenât many open hearths in the tropics! Thankfully, I discovered that Santa has his ways and means...in some places heâs teamed up with local post offices, so you can just pop them in the post boxâŠand in other, you can drop them in special mailing boxes that his helpers have set up just for this purpose.
Have you sent your letters to Santa yet?
If you (or your kids đ) havenât sent your letters to Santa yet, donât worry, thereâs still plenty of time to make the last post to the North Pole.
You can make your letter extra special using one of my cute, printable Christmas stationery sets - Iâm sure Santa will love the pictures. You can colour them in if you want your letters to have a super special, unique look, or use them just as they are if youâre in a hurry to get your letters in the post.
But what do I write, I hear you ask? Well, first of all, make sure Santa knows whoâs writing to him. Can you imagine just how many letters he must get each year? Wouldnât it be terrible if he got your list mixed up with someone elseâs? And donât forget to tell him whether youâve been naughty or niceâŠmake sure you give him some examples of all the good things youâve done. But, whatever you do, be honestâŠheâll know if youâre not (thatâs Santa magic for you!).
Now itâs time to get into the nitty gritty of âthe listâ. Be sure to ask nicelyâŠan âI would likeâ will definitely go down better than an âI wantâ. And itâs probably a good idea to focus on your top three or four requests, making sure you prioritise things that Santa can make in his workshop.
Donât forget to include a âthank youâ in your letter, and itâs always nice to let the person youâre sending it to know theyâre important to youâŠa quick question about life at the North Pole, how Mrs Claus is, or perhaps whether the reindeer have been behaving themselves will let Santa know you care.
And what about after Christmas?
Paper-Rosesâ printable Christmas stationery sets are perfect for thank you letters too. I know itâs always a bit of a chore to write them after Christmas, but just imagine how happy itâll make Nanna and Grandad or Aunty Enid feel when your letter lands on their doormatâŠespecially at the moment when it might not be possible to spend Christmas together or do a face-to-face thank you. Itâs important they know just how appreciated their gifts are and how much joy little Souki got from the specially chosen present they so carefully wrapped.
Whether coloured in or left plain, theyâre perfect for sending thank yous, hugs and a whole lot of love!
